Program Details

The National HRD Network in association with OD Alternatives is pleased to announce its upcoming Virtual Learning Session on "Authentic Leadership for the 21st Century: The Leader as a Coach" on Wednesday,11th July, 2012 at 1500 hrs.

This learning session is an introduction to the cutting edge 21st Century practice of Equine Facilitated Experiential Learning (EFEL) which takes Leadership Development and Coaching to a new level. The session will focus on the 2 core principles that are currently missing from current leadership and coaching models. Participants will get in-depth knowledge about this innovative approach which uses horses as an experiential tool to simulate real life leadership challenges and discover the skills and wisdom required to respond in an effective, authentic manner. The session will end with tips from the facilitators on some easy ways you can begin this new work - now! Without the horses.

Lisa Murrell        Lynnea Brinkerhoff 

 

Lisa Murrell is Founder and Master Coach at Equine Alchemy and Effective Leadership Coaching. She has spent the last 15 years working globally to help clients achieve transformational results in the areas of organization development and executive and team coaching. Lisa is also the co-founder of MetaSystem Consulting Group and author of INSPIRING REAL CHANGE: Using Systemic Experiential Learning to Develop Systems, Organizations, Teams and Individuals. Lisa studied Psychology at NYU and Organization Development and Human Resources at Columbia University. She is a Professional Certified Coach, from the International Coach Federation and an Advanced Instructor for the EponaApproachTM to Equine Facilitated Experiential Learning. Murrell’s transformational programs include both virtual and in-person Master’s quality, International Coach Federation (ICF) accredited coaching certification programs; propelling coaching into its next evolution through course work and experiential learning resulting in the ultimate mind/body connection.

Lynnea Brinkerhoff is currently Vice President at Flath & Associates. She serves as Adjunct Professor at the University of New Haven and is a visiting faculty at St. Claret’s College, Bangalore, India. Lynnea is a trusted advisor and coach to those in personal and organizational transition and uses long and short-term interventions to enhance organizational effectiveness; develop strategic goals, clarify individual roles and improve interdepartmental relationships. Lynnea has written several relevant articles and recently authored a chapter on The Role of Individual Development within an Organizational Context in a seminal OD text. She has a unique personal touch and employs a range of stress and energy management tools as a means of building autonomy, emotional maturity and alignment among varied stakeholders in business, non-profit and social venture projects.
