National HRD Network and NHRDN Chennai Chapter, invite you to the Learning Centre’s inaugural workshop in Chennai on Performance Management.
The distance organizations need to travel from ‘Good’ to ‘Great’ depend a lot on their ability to deliver sustained business performance that creates a win-win for all key stakeholders. A key enabler to this is a robust Performance Management system that motivates employees to take stretch goals and reward them for the meaningful contributions. When effectively implemented Performance Management Systems can mobilize the human energy in an organization and achieve breakthrough performance.
The objective of this functional technical competence module is to equip students with the knowledge and skills in effectively implementing performance management systems.

Who should attend?
The program will be designed for HR Practitioners with around 3-7 years work experience and is a must for human resource managers/professionals who want to bring a about a positive change and better improve the performance of their organization, using the correct techniques and principles of performance management.
The Faculty:
Balaji V, Director HR-BFSI, HCL Technologies.
Balaji V, Director - HR, Financial Services Line of Business has been with HCL for about six years and brings with him an experience of almost two decades across Industries covering the entire HR spectrum and has led change initiatives through Personal Visioning, Value clarification, Team transformation and Leadership Development. Prior to joining HCL he was heading HR for one of the Delivery Centers of Citigroup's fully owned subsidiary, Citicorp Overseas Software Ltd (COSL) . A strong believer in the “people enterprise”, Balaji has lead many action research initiatives and deployment of emerging constructs across multiple contexts.
In his current role he is part of the HR leadership in HCL Technologies and has been part of the team which is credited with the roll-out of the "employee first" agenda across HCL. He heads HR for the Banking Financial Services and Insurance Verticals, comprising of close to 6000 plus employees. His role also involves driving the HR agenda into the next phase of transformation in which the HR organization is looking at aligning itself towards delivery and operational excellence.
He also designs, customizes context specific HR interventions across Financial Services Line of Business. Balaji is also a qualified practitioner in Large Scale Transformation models - Dannemiller Tyson Associates, Appreciative Inquiry - Case western Reserve -Ohio State , Open Space and Psychometrics.
S.Valliyappan, Group Vice President HR – Navia Markets.
Mr. Soma. Valliyappan is a graduate in Economics and Post graduate in Business Administration specialized in Human Resource Management. Mr. Valliyappan , has work experience of over 25 years with leading Organizations like Indian hotels Co Ltd (Taj group), Hindustan Motors, BHEL, Whirlpool, PepsiCo and Dr. Reddy’s Foundation.
He currently serves as Group Vice President HR taking care of HR operations of five organizations viz, Navia Markets Ltd, Cameo Corporate Services Ltd, , Natrust Housing Finance Ltd and Maplewood Financial Services Ltd at Chennai.Mr. Valliyappan has been a visiting faculty for B Schools like BIM and IFMR, Chennai, REC Trichy, St. Josephs, Trichy and a regular Speaker at LIC, Rotary and other Self development forums. Mr. Valliyappan is an acclaimed Trainer in the fields of Goal Setting, Emotional intelligence, Leadership Development, Productive Communication, Time Management, Stock Market, Personality Development etc. He has so far conducted more than 225 Training Programs in various reputed organizations and given hundreds of Guest lectures in various Colleges ,Forums and Associations .
Mr. Valliyappan (Soma.Valliyappan) has authored 28 books on Management, Stock Market and Self development. He is a regular contributor to Newspapers and Journals.
